There are NO books that can cover all of SF. However, our dear friend Mr. Clute comes close. This book is a true treasure of our world! This book has it all:
  • Pictures of Authors
  • Pictures of Book Covers
  • Star Trek AND Dr. Who
It is only marred by one mistake: Apparently, Deep Space Nine was broadcast in England BEFORE Babylon-5, so the book notes that B-5 copied DS-9. Of course, the REAL story was that when the writers and producers at Star Trek (Next Generation), saw that it WAS possible to make a multi-part (saga, soap opera) style SF series. There was quite a falling out among the Star Trek people, and the "dark sister" DS-9 was born. (The best thing I like is Avery Brook's portrayal of the Commander of the Space station -- like Jeffrey Sinclair (B-5), Cisco is: Moody, mysterious, mercurial, and above all a real person.)
