As a guide to art, as well as a guide to various collections, this is an
essential work. His witty, and v. often remarks, remind one of
Jacob Bronowsky's "The Ascent of Man" --
a personal view. Here is a book, that while playful, is clearly a
labor of love, by one hoopy frood that knows where the real
King Tut's Golden Mask is (in a vault downstairs). I flip my towel
in the general direction of New York; -- pizo.
